Add lyrics to YouTube Music

To add lyrics to YouTube Music, you need to use a dedicated platform like Musixmatch. This service synchronizes lyrics with your songs and makes them available to users.

💡 Discover a practical and economical solution with YouTube Premium subscription sharing on the Sharesub platform. 100% legal and secure, this option lets you enjoy the full benefits of YouTube Premium while sharing your subscription with complete peace of mind.

Here’s how it works:

  1. First, create a free account on Musixmatch.

If you are already registered, simply log in. Next, you need to register as a verified artist. This step is important to ensure that you are the author or legal representative of the song.

  2. Once your account has been validated, you can add the lyrics.

These must be in .lrc or .txt format, files specially designed to integrate synchronized text. Please note: lyrics must respect copyright. Make sure you have the necessary authorization before publishing them, as copying lyrics without permission can result in penalties.

  3. Finally, to manage and synchronize your lyrics more easily, download the Musixmatch application to your phone or computer.

She’ll guide you through the final steps to get everything ready to appear on YouTube Music.

    Display lyrics on YouTube Music

Now that we’ve seen how to add lyrics to your tracks, it’s time to take advantage of this feature directly within the application. YouTube Music offers several ways to display lyrics while listening to your favorite tracks. Let’s take a look at how to access these options and personalize your music experience.

    Classic lyrics display

Displaying lyrics on YouTube Music is easy. If you’re using the application on your mobile, start by launching a song. Then press the Lyrics tab at the bottom of the screen. On the computer, it’s just as simple: click on the lyrics icon while a song is playing. This will open a window displaying the lyrics.

Finally, for those who like to think big, it’s possible to display the lyrics on a TV screen. This option is ideal for singing along with family and friends, even if it’s not yet available on all devices. A feature to keep an eye on if you’re a karaoke fan!

    Real-time lyrics display

YouTube Music is starting to roll out real-time lyrics to selected users. If you’re using version 5.51.50 (or higher) of the app on Android, you may already have access to this. This new feature makes it possible to follow the lyrics of a song directly while listening.

Operation is quite simple. Lyrics are displayed in a clear, easy-to-read format, with a twist: the line currently being read is bolded. This helps to keep you effortlessly in sync with the music. It should be noted, however, that lyrics do not scroll automatically. They remain static on the screen, which means you’ll have to scroll them manually if necessary.

Even if it’s not perfect yet, this feature is a good start for those who like to sing along or follow the lyrics in rhythm. Keep an eye out for future updates, as YouTube Music may yet improve this experience.

    FAQ

    1. Does YouTube Music automatically display song lyrics?

Yes, YouTube Music displays lyrics for many songs, but this depends on their availability. If lyrics are provided by labels or artists, they appear in the interface by clicking on the “Lyrics” icon during playback.

    2. What should I do if the lyrics of a song are not available on YouTube Music?

If lyrics are not available, this means that the artist or label has not provided this information. Lyrics cannot be added directly in the YouTube Music app: they come from partners such as Musixmatch, where artists and their representatives can submit them (see the steps above). You can, however, search for lyrics on external sites or use other third-party applications to display them.

    3. Is it possible to synchronize lyrics with music on YouTube Music?

No, YouTube Music doesn’t yet offer a feature that allows lyrics to be synchronized with music in a dynamic way, as on some other platforms. Lyrics are displayed as static text.

    4. Why are lyrics sometimes incorrect on YouTube Music?

Lyrics on YouTube Music are provided by third-party partners, such as LyricFind or Musixmatch. Errors may occur if the information shared is not up to date or contains inaccuracies.

    5. Are there any alternatives for displaying lyrics for songs not supported by YouTube Music?

Yes, you can use third-party applications like Musixmatch, which synchronizes the lyrics with your music, or consult specialized websites like Genius to read the lyrics manually.

    6. How can I check whether a song has lyrics available on YouTube Music?

To check, open the song in YouTube Music and look for the “Lyrics” option in the playback interface. If this option is missing, lyrics are not available for this track.

    7. Are lyrics available in all languages on YouTube Music?

Lyrics are generally displayed in the language of the song, but their availability may vary depending on the language and popularity of the track. Lesser-known songs or songs in rare languages may not have lyrics available.

    8. How do I report a problem or error in the lyrics on YouTube Music?

To report an error, you can contact YouTube support or use the in-app feedback options. However, corrections depend on lyrics providers, so update times may vary.
