Is it compatible with Strava?

How are payments handled?
Your peer-to-peer transactions are processed in accordance with European regulations (PSD2): the identities of the organizers are verified, and payments are held for one month to allow for any refunds.
What happens if a member leaves the group?
Members are free to leave at any time, but will not receive a refund for the current month. This allows the organizer to retain a higher participation fee, and the available spots will be moved to the top of the list to fill the group quickly.
Should you share your password?
No, most of the time, services are shared via an invitation link or an email invitation. You then join the group using your own username and password to ensure the confidentiality of your data. In the few cases where this is necessary, a secure manager is made available to you. You may also sometimes use a dedicated profile, protected by a PIN.

How the price of a Strava subscription has changed
Before Strava Family, covering four people meant four separate subscriptions. On 2 February 2023, Strava raised the monthly subscription in the UK from £5.99 to £8.99, which came to £35.96 a month for four people. The Family Plan arrived on 11 July 2024 at £99.99 a year for 4 accounts. UK subscribers now pay £8.99 a month or £54.99 a year for an individual subscription. Converted to a monthly figure, Strava Family comes to €8.33, or €2.08 per person.

Strava promo code or subscription sharing?
Strava does not run a standing promo code. The official discounts are limited to the 30-day free trial on the individual subscription, the student rate at half price with proof of student status and, in the United States only, 25% for teachers, military personnel and healthcare workers. Those reductions apply once, and to one person. Sharing Strava Family brings a recurring saving: the cost per person is divided every month, not only at sign-up.

Strava offers a 30-day trial on the individual subscription and on the student rate. You cancel by turning off automatic renewal in your Strava account settings, and access stays open until the end of the period already paid for. On Sharesub, payment is monthly and you can leave a group whenever you want.
Does the price differ between the App Store and the Strava website?
Not since 1 July 2025: Strava now charges every subscriber in a country the same price, whichever way they signed up. One difference remains in how you buy, though. Strava Family is sold on strava.com and through the App Store. An App Store subscriber can cross-grade straight to the Family Plan, while someone who subscribed individually through the web has to wait for their current subscription to expire.
